I am looking forward to another year of Alternative Learning at OKCS! The Alternative Learning Program provides teacher-directed programming and support for K-8 students who are learning at home. As a bridge between home and school, I will be connecting these students to exciting learning opportunities happening at the school, such as field trips, weekly chapels, library resources, etc.

I graduated from Nipissing University in Ontario with a BA in English Studies and a B.Ed. in elementary education. I've been teaching for 13 years, which has taken me to a wide variety of places: from a remote First Nations reserve to a Montessori school in downtown Toronto. I've also had the pleasure of teaching at several Christian schools, which has served to further ignite my passion for Christian Education. I believe that laying a solid foundation of Biblical truth for children, encouraging and discipling them along the way is essential to their spiritual, emotional, social, and mental growth. The love of Christ and the Holy Spirit through the Word of God will equip our children for every challenge they may face.
