THEME VERSE: I Corinthians 13:13 And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.
SEPTEMBER: A Call to : Love God Completely (7 verses)
Deuteronomy 6:4-6 4 Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. 5 Love the
Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your
strength. 6 These commandments that I give you today are to be on your
Galatians 2:20 20 I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in

Luke 9:23-25 23 Then he said to them all: “Whoever wants to be my disciple must

OCTOBER: A Desire to: Love God Completely (7 verses)
John 14:23-27 23 Jesus replied, “Anyone who loves me, will obey my teaching. My
Father will love them, and we will come to them and make our home with them.
24 Anyone who does not love me will not obey my teaching. These words you
hear are not my own; they belong to the Father who sent me. 25 “All this I have
spoken while still with you. 26 But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the
Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of
everything I have said to you. 27 Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I
do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do
not be afraid.
Romans 8:1-2 1 Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ
Jesus, 2 because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set
you free from the law of sin and death.
NOVEMBER: The Faith to: Love God Completely (5 verses)
Hebrews 11:1, 6 1 Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about
what we do not see. 6 And without faith it is impossible to please God , because
anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards
those who earnestly seek him.
Galatians 5:22-23 22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness,
goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness and self-control. Against such things there
is no law.
Revelation 3:20 20 Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice
and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me.
DECEMBER: The Will to: Love Self Correctly (6 verses)
I Corinthians 6:19-20 19 Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy
Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own;
20 you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies.
2 Corinthians 4:17-18 17 For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an
eternal glory that far outweighs them all. 18 So we fix our eyes not on what is
seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is
unseen is eternal.

JANUARY: The Importance of: Loving Self Correctly (6 verses)
Ephesians 4:22-25 22 You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off
your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; 23 to be made
new in the attitude of your minds; 24 and to put on the new self, created to be
like God in true righteousness and holiness. 25 Therefore each of you must put
off falsehood and speak truthfully to your neighbor, for we are all members of
Philippians 3:20-21 20 But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior
from there, the Lord Jesus Christ , 21 who, by the power that enables him to
bring everything under his control, will transform our lowly bodies so that they
will be like his glorious body.
FEBRUARY: The Mindset to: Love Self Correctly (7 verses)
Philippians 4:8-9 8 Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble,
whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is
admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things. 9
Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me—put it
into practice. And the God of peace will be with you.
Colossians 3:1-4 1 Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on
things above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God. 2 Set your minds
on things above, not on earthly things. 3 For you died, and your life is now
hidden with Christ in God. 4 When Christ, who is your life, appears, then you
also will appear with him in glory.
Colossians 3:16 16 Let the message of Christ among dwell you richly as you teach and
admonish one another with all wisdom, through psalms, hymns and songs from
the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts.
MARCH: In Obedience: Love Others Compassionately (6 verses)
Deuteronomy 6:6-7 6 These commandments that I give you today are to be on your
hearts. 7 Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home
and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.
Matthew 2:36-40 36 “Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?”
37 Jesus replied: “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your
soul, and with all your mind’ 38 This is the first and greatest commandment.
39 And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbour as yourself.’ 40 All the Law
and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”
APRIL: Be Selfless in: Loving Others Compassionately (7 verses)
John 13:34-35 34 “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you,
so you must love one another. 35 By this everyone will know that you are my
disciples, if you love one another.”
Ephesians 4:32 32 Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just
as in Christ God forgave you.
Philippians 2:3-4 3 Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, rather, in
humility value others above yourselves, 4 not looking to your own interests
but each of you to the interests of the others.
Colossians 3:12-13 12 Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe
yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.
13 Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance
against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you.
MAY: Be Purposeful in: Loving Others Compassionately (6 Verses)
Matthew 5:13-16 13 “You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness,
how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be
thrown out and trampled underfoot. 14 “You are the light of the world. A town
built on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 Neither do people light a lamp and put it
under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in
the house. 16 In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may
see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.
Matthew 7:12 12 So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you,
for this sums up the Law and the Prophets.
Mark 10:45 45 For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to
give his life as a ransom for many.
